Equiplus Lending Group Loan Fraud Westbury New York

I applied for a loan on the internet and was contacted by Sam Jacobs to let me know I had been approved for a $12,000 loan. All I had to do was wire 7 pmts upfront to someone in Canada. I questioned him over a period of days as well as checking on the internet for any derogatory info on the company. I didn't find anything. I sent the money and was contacted by "Sam's Boss" the next day stating they had reassessed my loan and needed an addtional 7 pmts.

At that point, I refused to send any more money and told him I wanted my money refunded. He told me I would receive it on April 1st. I did not. When I called the number today, April 2nd, I got a phone message that said simply goodbye and hung up on me. I realize I have been a victim of loan fraud and at this point am glad I sent no more money than I did. I hope someone can catch up to these people before anyone else is scammed.
