Equitable Acceptance Corp EAC INTEREST FREE SCAM Minneapolis, Minnesota

I purchased a Hyla Vacuum that was finance through Equitable Acceptance. I paid 11 monthly payment of 80 dollars and a final payment of $127 on September 17th, 2012.

I then received another statement and that I still owed 135.  When I called them about this I was told they did not received my last payment until the 12th of October and that it was late and after the cut off date.  I called the Hyla salesman to have him call EAC to resolve this.  He called me back and said they would not talk to him.  I tried to call the owners of the vacuum dealership I purchased through and was forwarded to another Hyla distributor who also called EAC on my behalf and was told they would not discuss my situation with them either.  They gave me a new number for the dealership I had purchased from, they then caled on my behalf and were told that I was late on the final payment...I said this was suspect as I mailed the check on 9/17.

They suggested I call customer service and speak with Jody.  Jody rudely informed me that there was nothing they could do about the 135 as my payment was late and they did not control the post office and why didn't I call them to confirm my payment had been received?  I again stated the date which I wrote and posted my check and that I also did not control the USPS and found it interesting that it took close to a month to post to my account.  I did make yet another payment today of 150.00 something.  So much for interest free and false money management.  I suggest you look elsewhere for financing.
