Eric Jensen , Matt Wood Home Improvement Scammers - BEWARE Charlottesville Virginia

 After buying a home in June 2015 we interviewed Eric Jensen (partner is Matt Wood) regarding home improvements. He assured us he was licensed and insured. Promised to get U.S. proposal. Second meeting did not have written proposal, all verbal so we typed up. Began work 7/13 - total turn around time of 4 weeks. After 8 weeks of drama, excuses of why certain jobs could not be done, constantly telling us there were overages, failure to get permits ( stating at one point he would have his mother make up a fake permit on her computer) and $43,000.00 later we fired them. Ninety percent of the work that they did is being redone as did not meet code and/or was substandard. They used untreated wood for framing on concrete, left an electrical junction box loose in ceiling, soldered wires as short cut, used 4 inch screws on interior doors, strike plates on doors not installed properly, toilet not installed properly as sits approximately 1/4 inch off of floor, overflow pipe in tub not connected causing flooding, etc.......
