Eric Samuels After stayed at my vacatoin home, Venice, California, he falsely reported a fraudulent claim after using his CC for rent payment. He scammed me for $1,850. Chicago, Illinois

Eric Samuels and his wife, stayed at my vacation rental home in Venice, CA.  He stayed at first for three nights using HomeAway.com. He said he enjoyed his stay very much, and he extended his contact/stay a 2nd time for two more nights for $1,230. Then extended his stay yet again for another night for $615.  He paid with a Credit Card from HomeAway payment system.  He had damages, and a fair amount was deducted from his security deposit.

Later, after getting his security deposit partially returned (...after damages), he falsely made a "fraudulent" claim that the 2nd and 3rd extension stays were not used by him, and made a "fraudulent" claim to the Credit Card company. Because of the strong consumer protection laws, there was a "chargeback" to my bank, withdrawing the 2nd and 3rd stay, for a total loss to me of $1,845.

It is under "review" now, but no guarantee I will see my money rightfully returned. 

Also, I discovered that the same person, Eric Samuels did the exact same thing to another host for a nice home in Hollywood.

I am suspicious of an apparent trend, and am posting this to protect anyone else from this abuse of the system.
