Essentials Gold attempting - Adaptive - Citibank ripoff to charge credit card without authorization Internet

Received a brochure showing the following corporations as sponsors and/or allowing their logos to be shown in brochure:

The Home Depot, Dillards, Kohl's, Sunglass Hut, Marshall Field's, dressbarn, The Home Depot, JCPenney, kmart, Linen n Things, Lowe's, Target, Coast to Coast Vision Plan, (Foot Locker and associated Foot Locker companies are a sponsor; however puchases may be made through a telephone number, 1.877.254.3333), SPORTS AUTHORITY, BABiES'R'US, FTD.COM, Harry and David, Jackson&Perkins and TOYR"R"US and others.

Brochure stated that a service charge of $129.95 will be charged against an unnamed credit card but thought to be charged against a Citi card.

The Service Provider, Adaptive, Stamford, CT is the provider of essentials gold and is soley responsible for the services provided thereunder. Citibank, the issuer of my credit card, is not affiliated with Adaptive.

One card I refuse to use is Chase. They charge urserous rates and I do not use the card. Citibank is a true disgrace as a corporation to the citizens of the US.

The brochure from essentials gold requires that I notify them to cancel within 30 days, they state, if you do not call to cancel within 30 days, your membership will be automatically renewed and the quoted membership dues will be billed to my credit cared or "other account". Cancellation of membership and to avoid a charge to "your" account, simply call our toll-free number 888.405.5356 within 30 days.

A member identification number was provided.
