Let me start with DO NOT HAVE YOUR INSURANCE with eSurance based on price quote they give you. eSurance is smart in giving you very low price compare to rest but when it comes to settling your claim you do not care at all and they manipulate numbers and give you a run around.

I had a car accident where Driver side Fender and front bumper was damaged. I filed a claim and esurance said I have to total car because cost of repair is higher than the cost of car. They said cost of my repairs is around $4100 but car value is only $3500. I looked at KBB and total value for KBB for similar specs was close to $5500-6000. eSurance will not take KBB value into account at all. They say they have own way of finding out the value for the car which is nothing but fraud.

Also, they said, I had prior damage and they reduce another $800 which is nothing but small scratch on paint. For total car, independent agency big for $900 on my car means that value of car was very high when independent company bids such a high price for car which eSurance cliam it shold be totalled or repair cost is $4100. I wanted to keep my car since i knew it was not too much damage, but eSurance will not let me keep unless i pay for total car which is $900. If I keep the car they removed $900 (Keeping car) + $800 (Prior damage for small scratch) + $500 Deductible , after all deduction claim amount was coming to $1500 for car with salvage title which was not required.

If I do not keep the car I get around $2500 where i have to spend another $3000 or more if I have replace with similar car. eSurance put me in situation to salvage my car which was not required and not paying close to damage amount or car amount. Also, once you file a claim you will never get a call from them. You have to keep calling them and they have their way or highway. When I joined eSurance they gave me lower quote than competitor but first renewal they increase price by 30% and second renewal another 20%. They take advantage thinking once customer get settled they do not switch over to other.

Do youself a favor, stay away from eSurnace.esurance is big fraud insurance company in auto Insurance industry.
