so. Check this out (cut and paste) regarding the wheels falling off my vacuum. It is now three weeks and several emails later and I have not received one response. They are full of _hit. Their customer service in non existent. Why even waste my time responding to this email when the end result was completely ignoring me. I was very pleasant in my initial request as to how to proceed... but now that I've been totally ignored - I am pissed. I will NEVER buy one of their products again. I was completely happy with the product until I was ignored.

Again - I have NEVER heard back from them after sending them the info to the below email they sent me.

Because the wheels are not replaceable on your machine, we will be happy to assist you further by replacing the bottom nozzle; however, we will need some additional information.

I received the replacement part today as originally promised. I feel that if communication from customer service would have existed, the original post would not have occurred. After numerous emails, I was informed (weeks later) that the part was backordered and was shipped.

Final outcome. Eureka did follow through and my part was received. I still have a bad taste in my mouth about the whole situation, and feel that- had I not constantly contacted them until I finally received a reply I would still be sitting in limbo wondering what the status was.

Thank you to Eureka anyway for coming thru. It will be nice to vacuum without the d**n wheels falling off. Other than that- the vacuum is awesome.

After filing this report, as well as one to Consumer Affairs (and several more to the Eureka (non) Customer Service, I received an email from them saying that the "part" had been out of stock and is now being shipped. I don't know if it is coincidence or not. And I will reserve further judgement until the part actually arrives.

I am still curious as to why I didn't receive any replies from them as a courtesy to acknowledge my inquiry. It reflects poor customer service when a customer has to revert to being bitchy just to get any response. Remember, my initial inquiries were polite - I only got bitchy when communication from them was non existent.
