Euro Royal Commission Random Lotto claims to be held in London, England. Janet Oakley is the Prize Co-ordinator. They claim that participants were selected through a computer ballot system from names drawn from Asia, Europe, North America and America. (note the use of both North America and America, aren't they the same?) They claimed my ticket had won the lottery in the third category (whatever that is). And that I had been approved to win $98,000 from a total prize of $2,352,000 to be shared amongst 24 international winners.
They inclosed a so-called assistance check from Bassett Mirror Co. which was to enable me to finance the international clearance fees. I was asked to keep this award from public notice (scam clue) until my claim had been processed and money remitted to my account (red flag).
I was asked to contact Michelle Brown, of Royal Finance Management Group for activation and authorization of my check.
Luckily I checked up on this and discovered it was a scam before I did anything I might have regretted. Beware of this scam.
