recently I hired the above named company for an international move. the problems began well before moving day. Because of the company's poor grasp of the english language and multiple points of contact we were at constant odds as to what was going on. Firstly their interpretation of the contract did not agree with the terms of the emails exchanged. We eventually got over that hurdle only to be met with others. On moving day the local movers arrived 3 hours late and without the materials to complete the job. As my 40foot container had a reservation on a train later that day any delays would incur additional costs for me. The multiple points of contact were extremely confusing as different people were asking for different documents and whoever I sent them to, it seemed someone else needed them. It was a struggle to keep it all clear, in addition, as english was not their first language all correspondence was difficult at best and extremely confusing at worst. I was given incorrect ship onformation and it took multiple requests to get that information. Finally, just 2 days before my shipment was to dock in the UK I received the Final Invoice. What a shock that was! The estimate was nowhere near the final amount. Estimated costs had risen 65%, hidden charges appeared and on the whole the bill was increased by double over the original estimate. After multiple emails we were able to negotiate a mere $400. discount on the inflated fuel charges. I was grateful for that, but as the rest was so off the map it was hardly an appeasement. I do not recommend this company, their tactics are unfair and the business practices are misleading.

Collective action? It is time to put an End to this large-scale criminal activity!

We hired Internic Moving services in May: from the very beginning, the ripoff begun.
They first charged more than we allowed on our credit card, then did'nt give us the full service we asked for: the movers arrived on a saturday morning with nothing to wrap our stuff: we spent the whole day trying to gather boxes ans newspapers to get the work done and we had to work the complete day with the movers.
Internic not only refused to admitt its mistake, but they charged us twice the amount of money we had agreed on in the contract... for a service we didn't even get!!!
Then, he added (manually) some new clauses to an already signed contract and tried to make us give him even more money.
Then, they kept our stuff, forcing us to pay another extra-money in order to get it back.
We only got our things the next day, after having lost an entire day waiting for them.
That wasn't over: we discovered many broken things (of cours, they had been wraped in newspapers and put in wine boxes!) and Jaques Monier refuses to initiate a reclamation! Two of our boxes are missing, and a very valuable watch (rolex) has disappeared...
Moreover, after all the illegal charges were put on our credit card, he asked for more, pretending that he hadn't been payed... while we had been charged!
We are of course suing them for several reasons: fraud, contract falsification, extorsion, robbery and threats.
We are looking for similar stories and for people who were ripped off by this company, in order to built a collective case against this criminal company and its owner.

I am currently preparing a move to France and I was impressed with the prices of this company. So far they have been quick to get back to me with my questions but I always feel like there's something missing. What could you suggest to avoid having extra charges on their end? We're dropping our stuff off and picking them up on the other side by ourselves to avoid any packing/moving charges.
Thanks
