Evans Tire & Service Center San Marcos Various Mechanic's, Management and Corporate. Evans Tire & Center did Poor Quality Work - Made False Statements - Showed Incompetence San Marcos California

Took my Truck to Evans Tire and Service Center so they could replace Brakes, Routers and the Fluid

Bottle and house because of leaks. It was older model Range Rover so they it would be expensive

so the the total bill was close to $1200.00.

The vehicle was dropped of on a Thursday and initally picked up on that following Friday. The vehicle

overheated in 10 mintues. Which I had to be helped on off the road by the local police department. When

I looked under the hood one of the Mechanics tools was left inside!

Called Evans and stated what happen. Didn't drive the vehicle all weekend and took it back on Monday

which they kept until Tuesday. Well, the same thing happen, vehicle overheated and this time the

Engine Cover was missing!

Told evans that the vehicle was not overheating when I bought it in and even with the needed repairs

it still do this. They said there is no more we can do and take it to a specialist. I had the vehicle

towed and when the specialist did look at the vehicle they informed that the "idiots" did plug

the exhaust fan back in and thats 101 of auto repair.

Wrote them a letter and because of the car rental cost, towing and service charge I was out

of over $500. What did Evans say about this? That it was noted my vehicle has other issues

before repair and their incompetence had nothing to do with the problems of the overheating.

Offer me $125 and told me to kick rocks.

All which is a bunch of B.S. when it was stated by the Specialist that all they had to do was

plug in the fan. To make it worse is that is place was recommend for Veterans and I thought

being a disabled combat vet they would take care of me - thought wrong. I will proceed in

getting what is owed to the best of my abilites, that I will do.

P.S. The one positive was Chris who is one of the store managers that is as STAND UP as

they come. He offered his own personal vehicle one of the days so I could make my VA Appointments.
