Events & Adventures St. Louis E&A possesses NO sense of Respect or Compassion: Money Hungry Company St. Louis, Missouri

When I joined E&A, the sales woman was extremely persistent and pressuring.  I later learned, after joining, that much of her sales pitch was a lie.  I clearly explained to her that I had only a certain amount of money put aside for this,  she assured me that they would work with me in any and every way. She also assured me that after paying the initial fees and the contract fees I wouldnt spend anything else out of pocket. 

She said all events were free to me as I was already paying for the membership.  In truth, however, majority of the events required an additional $10-$40.  Some were even as high as $195.  This was ridiculous!  If my set amount is paying for the membership fees, how can I possibly put out anything extra?  These extra costs made it impossible to attend 95% of the events and activities.  I was an active member for barely 5 months, though, only able to attend less than 10 of the events. 

A couple months after joining, my situation changed and I now had to deal with a custody court trial. I spoke with 2 of the E&A office staff about this situation.   The first woman I spoke with, in person,  told me she would discuss the situation with her boss to help me.  She never got back with me.  In fact, she quit the company soon after our discussion.  Next, I spoke with the woman's replacement, Katie, again in person.   She fully understood the importance of the situation concerning  custody court. 

She told me to send her an e-mail stating what we had discussed, to go ahead and stop my credit card and that she would be sure to have the payments stopped.  So I did this. I sent her an e-mail, I called and stopped my credit card payments to E&A and I also spoke with Colleen in the E&A collections dept. about the solution Katie gave me.   I was told to ignore the automatic collection letters that would be sent out and that they would soon stop sending them.  Colleen also stated she would stop the credit charges on her end.

Events and Adventures is now trying to collect, 6 months later, through the use of a lawyer and fear.  Don not involve yourself in anyway with this company.
