This I am sure is not a unique story but one that everyone should read and understand before acquiring the services of the above named company. As most should already know about this operation is that they will low ball you to gain access into an agreement for their services provided. The upfront agreement price is solely based on the information that you relay to the individuals quoting the job. If your "cubic" foot price is off, this is the opportunity of the "lead" or "foreman" to quote additional services or space that will be necessary to acheive the desired financial restitution that they feel is deserved for that job. Be careful the packing or loading of the vehicle or vehicles, if done improperly, additional cubic foot space and prices are necessary. It is explained that during this loading process the "foreman" will keep you abrest of the additional fees so you will have full control over the financial outcome. This would be a great system if that were true of the process correct. Be assured that during that loading time you will hear, "don't worry sir or mam, we are going to take care of you". "I am loading this this way for a reason", "you are not going to be charged full price because you are 1 way and a direct ship so we have the additional room". etc.. This is the load of crap. The fees will range up to twice the original quoted price. It will give you a feeling of being held hostage as well as backed into a corner.
Buyer beware. My only suggestions is that when you are actively looking, over estimate the cubic footage that you think you will need. Secondly, they will wrap and protect your furniture, for an additional price of course, but this service is a good worthwhile investment. They will be late, in todays "sense of entitlement" world we live in, prepare for the worst and hope for the best. On a positive note, they do have some very good loaders, there attitutudes are Ok, the secretary or booking agents are very good. If you plan on calling the "supervisor", my suggestion is to hold your tongue, she will not listen and will already have preconceived concepts prior to entertaining your banter. Save you disgust for the BBB, or web sites that people frequent so as to allow others to learn from mistakes that we have made.
Good luck.

In your first report your wrote, "they will wrap and protect your furniture, for an additional price of course, but this service is a good worthwhile investment"
Then, in your second report you wrote, "we recognized a few severely damaged products"
That is a major issue that you failed to mention in your initial report. You are clearly confused and your complaint contains no useful content.

Detailed explanation

I do understand the confusion of the statement that "they do have some very good loaders". So I will give a more detailed explanation so most individuals would be able to decipher or understand this statement. A very good loader was used to describe an individual that works consistently with very few breaks. Please do not mistake a good loader, with a talented loader. A talented loader takes into consideration that the product that in this case furniture, is the result of individuals hard work or family heirlooms that are typically handed down through generations. Talented or conscientious employees treat others and the products with respect and typically will ensure the safety and protection of the product being loaded and delivered. Which brings us to the second stage of our ordeal. Upon delivery and the unloading process, we recognized a few severely damaged products. Dining room chairs that the legs were cracked and gauged beyond repair. Grille handle broken off, several scratches on the higher end furniture as well as dents to our steel front door. We are currently in the process of contacting the above listed company to file a claim. I do know that we were offered "insurance" to protect these items. But as most, I really struggle to purchase insurance to protect a product from negligent individuals that I have already paid and entrusted. Insurance should be purchased for imperfections or break downs and natural disasters only. For all interested readers, I will continue to post updates as information and results come to fruition. This statement is for anyone that wants to know, the only difference between any two companies offering similar services is the attention to detail and professionalism that would differentiate between the two. Do your research and find the one that will put it in writing and guarantee the results.

Satisfied or Dissatisfied?

Your complaint is confusing. Your subject line describes the company as scrupulous and noted that they quoted the necessary additional expense required due to your error in estimating the cubic footage of your merchandise. Then you complained about the way they loaded their vehicle and that you had a feeling of being held hostage. After that you complimented the way they packed your furniture. It is unclear as to whether you were satisfied or dissatisfied with the service.
