On November 6th, 2013 I locked my keys and cell phone in my car.  I was fortunate enough to have a stranger let me borrow their telephone to call work to have them call a locksmith for me.  Our office administrator called a locksmith and was guaranteed that they were on their way and would be there in 15-20 mins - as it states on their website.

After 50 minutes of standing in 50 degree weather, I started contemplating which window would be the best to break out.  A maroon minivan pulls in - with no logos to identify that he is indeed a locksmith.  He tells me that he's the locksmith and is here to open my car.  I have a Mistsubishi Outlander.  He said that it may cost a little more because they are more difficult to break into.  I said ok, because I am frozen at this point.

He pulls out two flat pads that have air pumps attached to them. I looked at my watch and started to time him. He inserted one on the top corner of my door and pumped it up.  He inserted the other and pumped that one up as well.  He then took a long wire-like object and put it through the top of the door and unlocked the car.  All of this took approximately 52 seconds.  He opened the door and handed my keys.

He then tells me because he had to use the air pumps - that it was $169.00 plus a service call fee of $49.00!!!!  I said, "Are you kidding me??? It took you less than a minute to get into my car!"  His reply was that he'd been in it alot quicker if he'd been able to use a slim jim.  After running my credit card, he refused to give it back to me until I signed a receipt saying that I was completely satisfied with the service and that the charges where indisputable.  I crossed everything out and wrote that I was very dissatisfied and overcharged.  He called his boss about what I did and still didn't give me my credit card back.  I finally started yelling at him and he handed me my card & receipt - at which point I got in the car and left.  When I looked at the receipt - I noticed that there was nothing on there to tie back to Everett Keymasters.  The receipt said 24/7 Locksmith with a fax number.  That's it - no address, no phone number, no email address - nothing!

I called the office immediately upon returning to work and called them.  The manager David said that I needed to call him back in a half hour after he had a chance to talk to his technician.  I called back 2 hours later and David still hadn't talked to his technician.  He also told me that there wasn't anything that he was going to do for me about the charges.  I was out of luck.  I told him that I was sorry that that was his answer.  I told him that I would be calling my credit card company to dispute the charges, filing a complaint with the BBB - as their website states that they have an A+ rating with the BBB - yet I haven't been able to locate their company on the BBB website.  I also told them that I would be hitting Facebook and letting everyone know what kind of crooks that they were.  He said that he wished that I wouldn't do that and that there should be a way that we could come to an agreement.  I told him that was all that I had ever wanted to do, but that he had declined.  He stated that he couldn't do it, but the owner Brad could.  I told him that he had until the end of the business day to have Brad call me.  He asked me to wait until the next day, because Brad wasn't at work until then.  I agreed.

Brad never called yesterday.  I tried calling and they have since blocked my work phone number.  I called from a different number and was told that Brad wasn't in.  I left a message for him to call me.  He never did.  I tried again today - Brad wasn't in.  I asked for David and was put on hold.  I hung up after being on hold for over 5 minutes.  I think that it's a fair assessment that they are avoiding me and are not going to try to give me some sort of reimbursement.
