Everhart Honda HSBC auto financing Bought a ford E-250 to start a carpet cleaning business and by 90,000 miles had to pay $2000 for a new transmission. I needed a v-8 E-250because of the weight of the machines was carrying. Even on the title it says it's a V8 E-250 and wasn't untili needed a catalytic converter that the mechanic told me that there was a V-6 in it instead of a V-8. So that explains why I needed a new transmission so early on. Not to mention I know I paid more for a V-8 than aV-6 that was in it. What a dummy I am to have taken this long to figure that out !!one other small thing that's really no big deal, I drove the van home from buying it which was only several miles from my house but when I got home I noticed a big crack in the windshield and called them immediately to let them know. They told me it had to have happened in those few minutes driving it home which was not true. I'll also be honest I had bad credit and just really needed that can so bad and they knew that so I was charged 18% interesting the life of the loan. San Diego California

I bought a ford E-250 to start a carpet cleaning business. With the weight of the machinery I was carrying it had to have a V-8. After putting about 40,000 miles on it my transmission went out which cost me $2000 to have fixed. I never thought anything about it. Last year I needed a catalytic converter put in and the guy ask me which size V-8 I had in it and I replied I didn't know so he looked at it and said " you know there's not a V-8 in this there's a V-6. I couldn't beleive it. That explained why my transmission went out so fast since I was carrying over 2000 pounds of machinery. After finding out someone had switched the engine and sold it to me I contacted the dealer "Everhart Honda " who sold me the van and they said I should of looked it over better and they sold their company to someone else anyway and that was it. Anyway I looked back at the title and paperwork and it says clearly it was suppose to be a white econoline E-250-V8. Now trying to get a new van is impossible with a vehicle that's suppose to have a V8 and instead has a V6. What to do? I guess I am the dummy to not have noticed it in the first place. Also I need to mention I bought it used in 2002 with almost 30.000 miles on it and just figured this all out about a year ago. But has always bothered me that someone knew what they were selling me and got away with it.
