Erin T. McElmurry is the least qualified trainer I know. She is absolutely not worth $45-$55 for an hour lesson. She treats you like complete crap! 

First off don't get me wrong your first lesson will be perfect like she told me "you are a great rider I can do so many fun things with you" and she's actually nice but this is where it stops! Your next lesson will be misery! She screamed at me for almost the whole entire lesson! I had to learn a dressage test pattern and I guess I wasn't making the circle good enough for her! So she started screaming and asking me "Did you even finish geometry class?!" And I stopped my horse to ask her exactly what I was doing wrong and she proceeds to say, "why are you stopping for?! Keep going! Did I tell you to stop?!" I asked her what I was doing wrong and she said "NO we are not discussing this!! You know what you are doing wrong!!"

Erin ran through my dressage test patteand really fast and I hadn't had time to practice it at this point yet and she turns towards me and says "Okay you got all this! Well do it anyways!" So I obeyed and got a little bit through it and forgot some parts so I asked what the next step is and she freaked out! Her exact words were " SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP!! Why are you talking!? You are not allowed to talk in a dressage show so why should you be allowed to talk now?!" She eventually read it off to me and I guess I didn't do the circle absolutely perfect again so she threw my pattern on the ground and threw her hands over her head and screamed "I'm done! I'm done! She cannot learn this! You can go to the dressage show but you will fail miserably!!" (I got 3rd place)

It says right on her website it is a calm relaxed learning environment. Does this sound like its a calm relaxed learning environment to you? Then at the end of that lesson she proceeds to tell me what a good rider I am again! She really hurt my confidence! But now I know that I am a good rider she's just not a good trainer! Would not recommend to anyone!
