Had a guarantee of 12 leads in a year that FIT my profile or my money back. They sent me leads that were out of my ream of work. Even after I reset my profile, everthing they sent me was beyond my max. $250,000 limit. I asked for residential and very small commerical. I received one residential from Ocala, which I accected, but the property owner said he wanted to use someone more local. Everything else I got was too large.

I have been over this several times with them, Everycontractor, I've gotten nowhere. I spoke to Terra on 10-22-07. Explained everything again, she put me on hold and never returned. I called back again, what do you think, got voicemail, left message. No call back. I'm done with them. This is the norm for most internet marketers. They will call over and over till they get your business, but once they got that credit card #, they don't call you back and they don't fulfill there end of the deal.

Id like to start by introducing myself. My name is Matt Paratore and I am the Director Of Customer Compliance here with Everycontractor. In response to this report I would like to start by saying that before we consider ANY of our contractors for the programs we offer, we have to make sure that they are capable of following the simple terms and conditions of the service. They are as follows...

Rule # 1: There are no cancellations, full or partial refunds within the 12-month period of your program. We are guaranteeing you a minimum number of leads matched to your company profile during the course of the 12 months of your Featured Listing program, and may run several different types of campaigns to drive traffic to our website, increasing your exposure and bringing you more leads. We do require that you actively participate in the program during the full year to be eligible for the money back guarantee.

Rule # 2: Leads you receive may not be exclusive and may be available to other contractors in our system as well. Over the years we have tracked thousands of leads given out to contractors in our network, and we have found over and over again that in too many instances no one calls the Project Requestor at all. We work hard to make sure every project that comes to us is taken care of quickly and with the best possible customer experience. Most homeowners and nearly all General Contractors want more than one estimate before they are ready to commit to a project, so our goal is to make sure they receive the correct number of bids. We give out leads to the number of requests that a project requester asks for, which it typically between 3 and 5 contractors. We recommend that you contact the project requestor as quickly as possible and you can virtually eliminate the competition.

Rule # 3: Make sure your profile is completed, accurate, updated and APPROVED at least once every 90 days. If this is not approved your company will be viewed as an inactive company. Approving your profile, accepting or rejecting your leads within 24 hours and contacting the customer within 24 hours prevents this from occurring. We consider a lead qualified when it matches your company profile. Your company profile is the most important aspect of receiving leads from us. When you fill out your profile, it gives our company detailed information about your business. We will send you leads based on your Company Profile. It is essential that you complete your profile as soon after enrolling in the Featured Listing program as possible. If you have not completed your Profile within one calendar week from the date of your order, we will send you leads based on our best estimate of your services. ALL OF THESE LEADS WILL COUNT TOWARD YOUR GUARANTEE. To modify your Profile or change the type of leads we are sending you, go to www.everycontractor.com/login.asp to log in to your Control Panel and complete your Company Profile. Once your Company Profile is completed and approved by you, leads will be qualified according to the information you supply in the Profile. This will tell us what you do, who you service and what areas your cover. Your one-year program and money back guarantee will begin upon the date your receipt is processed and you are placed in the directory. When you sign up, you will be given a user login and a password. If you have troubles at anytime filling out your profile, you do not have online access, or you are too busy in the field, you can contact our customer service department at (800) 538-3797, option 2 and they will assist you.

Rule # 4: Accept or reject all leads within 24 hours of them being assigned to you. When a lead is assigned to you, you will be notified according to the contact methods you have listed on your Control Panel or in your profile. You may call in to our Customer Service department or login to your Control Panel to get the specifics, read the description and choose whether to accept or reject the lead. If you reject the lead, be sure to let us know why. Be sure to let us know why you are rejecting the lead so that we can recommend changes in your profile. You may modify your Company Profile yourself at any time by logging in to your Control Panel through www.everycontractor.com. If you do not accept or reject each lead, you may be classified as Inactive within our system and your guarantee may be invalidated.

Rule #5: Contact customers within 24 hours of accepting the lead and make a concerted effort to win the job. As you may know, the longer you wait to contact the customer, the less of a chance you have to set an appointment and possibly win the job. Most of these customers have projects that are time sensitive and/or want to hear from a contractor ASAP. Because of the technology, many contractors will simply send an email to the customer. While this is a great way to communicate with the customer, typically the contractor that makes the phone call and follows up will have a better chance of winning the project. We also ask you to continually follow up on the lead. If you make a phone call to the customer and do not hear back, try to contact them again. Most of the customers tell us that the most persistent contractor gets the appointment, makes a
bid and gets the job. The sooner you contact the customer, the more follow-ups that you complete, the better chance you have of winning the project. Keep in mind that you also have our customer service department to help you if you have difficulty or questions on a lead. Remember that the leads assigned to you are based entirely on the information you provide to us in your Company Profile, so if you find that leads are not exactly appropriate to you or your services, your first and most important step is to re-evaluate your Profile so that your matches are as specific to you as possible.

In this case the customer who filed this report signed up with us on 10/13/2006. He updated and approved his profile on 10/24 and then again on 10/26. He then did not touch his profile for over 9 months. It's to be approved once every 90 days to remain active. I would also like to point out that of the 18 job leads that we generated for his company, he only picked up 9, gave us feedback on ONE and of the 9 that he picked up, it took him an average of 8 days to pick up the lead. Again, the terms and conditions are put into place to assure the success of the program and must be followed to maintain the money back guarantee that we offer. In this case the terms were not followed yet we did, in fact, continue to market for the customer.
