I attempted to move troops and resources into a valley held by the city I was moving the troops from. I perform this action regularly as it enables me to store surpluses, which can be recalled to maximise building when available.

On this occasion, when I hit the send button, a system message popped up saying that I had insufficient resource available for the troops being sent (this is not unusual, due to the rate of food usage on the account).

When I went to the troop type box and tried to adjust the numbers, the number of troops available to move changed from the 'original' total, to a figure which was that minus the number I had tried to send, but the system had not allowed.

No troop movement reports were generated and the troops had not 'moved' to either the valley, any adjacent valleys, or any other of my cities (this does happen on occasion even though it shouldn't, and players are aware of that particular glitch).

No attack reports were generated either, if they had it would suggest that I had selected the wrong destination location - unlikely anyway as I had selected the location by hovering on the valley in the "map" screen, and not by entering co-ordinates manually into the rally spot.

As I had performed this operation on many previous occasions and encountered the "insufficient resource" message many times, I had not taken a screen shot of the rally spot prior to attempting to re-send, obviously had I realised the glitch was about to occur, I would have.

As a result, the only evidence of the troop loss lies within the server data.

I contacted Evony customer services, and they responded by saying that "Our technicians show that there are no glitches may lead to this issue. Please offer some evidences of this issue. Thank you Again, troops and resources will not be lost for no reason and we can promise you that for sure."

I have stated to them that the troops did not disappear for no reason, the reason they disappeared was a server glitch, and that if their technicians examined the data on the server, that would show the discrepancy between start and end of session troop counts for the account, with no reports to justify the discrepancy.

I also pointed out that part of the reason for reporting this to them was to make them aware of the glitch, since their technicians were clearly responding based on some sort of back catalogue of previous glitches of which they were aware. (Although I am advised by other players that they have encountered identical problems, and have also reported them to Evony Customer Suppport, also without success).

They have responded with "Please be notice that  troops and resources will not be lost for no reason and we can promise you that for sure. In this case, please offer some evidenceto prove that you lost troops and resources for no reason."

I have calculated the cost of replacing the troops and resources lost, based on the number of game cents I would need to buy to do so. Using the 'cheapest' combination of packages offered by Evony, it comes to $108.00.

I don't spend money on the game, unlike some players, and have lost more resources than the loss of food incurred on this occasion due to flashplayer crashes. Also, I have already rebuilt the lost troops, it's taken a week and I could've been working on other stuff, but...

The issue here is the failure of Evony to investigate and protect the resources of players, some of whom will have sunk hard cash into their game accounts.
