do I begin? Aliny (the owner of Excel Granite in Malden, MA) was very
helpful when taking our money in the showroom. But it was all downhill
after that. Took them 6-weeks to call us for an install. Called the
afternoon before saying "we'll be there at 8am." They arrived with only
HALF our countertops. A week later, arrived with the second countertop,
and no backsplashes. Another week later, finally a backsplash. It's
nearly impossible to use a kitchen constantly under dust and
mid-construction due to delayed countertops - we ordered take-out for
those two weeks. Oh, and during that whole time, Aliny returned ZERO of
our voicemails we left her. At least have the courtesy and
customer-service skills to let us know when we can expect what we paid
for!!! The only calls we received were the day before actual
installations. Long-story-short: Sure, they seem a good value. But the
stress they put you though? You're getting what you paid for. I will
say, the granite quality itself is pretty good. Cutting? not so great -
who cuts countertops at the sink basin hole? Water spills out of the
sink, down the seam line, and onto the floor. Poor planning. But worst
- customer service. Aliny is rude and unhelpful. I recommend
avoiding Excel Granite in Malden, MA like the plague.
