Complaint Details

Quotation change in Parts to make cost. injection Molding During the early RFQ discussions I was introduced to Dan Graham sales agent. Xcentric presented quotes after finalizing mold criteria.

Material to run cost was established at 1005 due to price brake was 1000 sets Set price on quotation is $163 per LH+RH noted under notes and confirmed to be correct by Mr Graham on the phone.Other costs (setup Charge) $450.00 ever time you make a run. "Notes" LH + RH on quote are key. Upon signing Quote and mailing a business check for the full amount We received a call the Approx 4:25 pm Friday the time they were to run are parts and Mr Graham told us that the 1005 parts were not left right Handles but total parts meaning we would only be getting 502/and half sides each. Due to late in the day and needing parts due to our market changes (we needed the Parts) I decided to let this go in the interest of our time and effort and asked for someone above Mr Graham to discuss this on Monday.

Monday late morning I get a notice that Mr Graham and his VP sales would call. During the call John?? Their VP had nothing to offer and at this point my frustration was high so I ask him to think about fulfilling the quoted parts per the sales contract and get back to us. Nothing happen from that time after. So my next move was to get our mold that Xcentric made to another company for production. (Loss of confidence) We again went to Mr Graham and all these questions were asked earlier in the RFQ portion. When It came to their mold working somewhere else (Another Company)Mr Graham statement was yes and gave us some material specs and a dimension 6 x 9 for size. We decided to remove the mold thinking we could get it working else where but after 4 direct contacts and a consultant who we use for molding in the past the mold is not standard and would require additions such as water ports and special framing to work in mold machines under their standard mold operations. Cost to make these modification are in 6- 7 thousand dollars.

Desired Outcome/Settlement

Desired Settlement: Refund

For the loss in production parts for 500 sets we expect half of our refund. The mold is now a boat a anchor unless 6-7k is spent to modify. (Why)we would expect 60% of the valued sell cost $4370 which allows for labor and material. This does not include the 18K we loose for not having the second 500 sets in our retail sales. Conclusion: RFQ was removed from online account, Raw material cost analysis provided by Excentric indicates X: 4.215" x Y: 1.505 X Z: .353" Act part in Z =.254" 30% markup
