Ken Foose owner of Exotic Pets in nevada sold me a pair of childrens pythons for $120 that died within 20 hours of purchase. When I had them examined by a profesional they told me that they were malnurished and looked as if they had mites and other illness. The snakes were suppose to be 6 months old yet they were the size of hatchlings. When I contacted Ken Foose he told me he would only maby give me half of the money back so I then had the person who examined them to call him he told her that he would give me my money back. When I called him back he told me off and said I could take half of the money or nothing. I just want my the whole purchase price of the snakes refunded, that is $120.

Snake Purchase

AUTHOR: Kim - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, July 30, 2006

I am Kim Foose, co-owner of Exotic Pets, and the actual person the snakes were purchased from. When Anthony came in to buy these snakes he was very hurried and did not want any information on the snakes from me to begin with. He said he was buying them for his brother who knew all about snakes.

I remember this very well because his attitude was very flip when I tried explaining to keep them cool on his drive from Las Vegas back to CA. Which is most likely how he killed the snakes. It is a long drive for an animal and temperatures were still extreme here. The snakes were in my care for months, they had no mites, they were not malnourished- quite frankly if they had or were you would be able to see that when purchased and why then would he have bought them?

All our animals are healthy or they do not get sold. Ken offered him money back if he produced the dead snakes so we could check what happened to them. He refused to do this and for all we knew the snakes were still alive and this guy wanted something for nothing. It happens.

Most likely the snakes died in transit by overheating- or getting to cold it can happen in a matter of minutes and we inform all our customers how this can be prevented. It is very unfortuante this incident happened mostly for the poor snakes. We tried working with the other party but he would not present the animals for us to inspect even back through the mail.
