EXPEDIA.COM DISHONEST, DISREPUTABLE, DISINGENIUOS, DISASTEROUS! PROCESSES CREDIT CARDS, TAKES PAYMENT NEVER ISSUES VALID TICKETS Redmond Washington

Singing the catchy commercial tune, and looking at the slick web site I confidently gave my credit card information to Expedia.com. I thought I was vacation bound! Expedia then sent me confirmation for flights and paper tickets. I was on my way! Right? WRONG!

Expedia issued me tickets for a nonexistent flight, and then tried to pass me off to Air India. I spent hours on the phone with them. Air India disavowed knowing about me. So apparently Expedia NEVER completed the transaction.

It has been a month of calls and emails. And like several other posters to ripoff.com I too, was lied to and have documentation to prove it. They say one thing and there is never any follow-through. I was given confirmation and still have no valid flight. They took my money and to my understanding that is illegal. I paid for a service never rendered. I request an address for legal department. They ignore that request. I ask for a supervisor. I chase my tail. No one at the company owns responsibility and I truly feel now it is a shell game or Ponzi scheme that is institutionally arranged.

Also, this is a public company, I believe on NASDAQ (Expedia, Inc. EXPE) so it is my suspicion that there are regulations in terms of consumer fraud that they would be required to adhere to. If anyone has information on that I would greatly appreciate it.

But, in the interim be warned. This is not the fuzzy company that advertises. It is a monolith that provides no service. It has set up a bureaucratic maze that purposefully thwarts consumers and if not actually setting out to defraud customers is doing so by its policies.

Do not use this site or company! I am so saddened and frustrated from dealing with them.
