Express Camera.Com ripoff! Falsification of product feature/price used as bait; switched to lesser quality of product that sells for less. Edison New Jersey

Express Cameras.com features "great prices" for a Nikon D70 "Professional Package," and my son called them to request a light flash in place of one of the two Nikon lenses offered.

Salesman complied with a Sigma light Flash and then switched the remaining Nikon lens for a Sigma brand lens peddled off as a "Professional EF" lens which does not exist in Sigma's list of lens.

He used the opportunity to bait & switch the 512MB Compact Flash Card in package for a different one that is listed at Express Cameras website as a $499 High Speed/Error Free product (No manufacturer listed). No such priced item exist.

Instead they sent a regular 512MB Compact Flash with a sticker on top of wrapping that read High Speed/Error-Free. The manufacturer' website , Dane-Elect, shows that the one sent is a regular Compact Flash selling for no more than $49. Their high end High Speed 512MB Compact Flash sells for $79 not $499.

Instead of a Sakar tripod they sent a Samsonite brand. The price for these so-called high end products changed from original package price of $1094 to $1449.99.

Shipping that was promised as a next-day for price of ground was $72.49 or 5% of total. This shipping and Handling is exorbitant when one compares what it will cost to send back the box.

After evaluation of this bait and switch and falsification of high-end and high prices that don't exist, we got a Return "RMA" number (after being put on hold several times)and hope that having to lost the $72,49 plus our own shipping to send the products back, we won't be subjected to more chicanery and rip-off tactics by this company.
