Express Cameras (Expresscameras.com) advertised the Canon EOS 300D as "Your cost $619.00". I placed an order and I then had to call and confirm the order. The internet stated "Orders placed up to 12/30 can be delivered before New Years", I asked if they had them in stock and they assured me they had plenty of them. I was then high pressured to purchase additional items.
I told him I was not interested, I received items for the camera for Christmas and I needed just the camera. He continued and was lowering the prices on the assessories to get me to buy additional items. I again said no. He gave me a confirmation number and told me the camera would be here in 2 weeks. The next day I receive an e-mail that stated "the item has been oversold and are now on back order and my order is cancelled. They are cheating the public, false advertising, it is crimonal and should not be in business.

If they canceled your order and did not give you a refund, then IT IS a rip-off. But if you DID get a refund, or weren't charged then how do you feel that you were ripped off. A little inconvienced MAYBE. But not ripped off. Which was it? And I think your gift givers were a little silly for giving you accessories for something that you didn't even own. don't you think? Happy new year.
