On or about February 18, 2010, after completing online applications for a personal loan, i was contacted by a representative with Express Financial Services.  The representative ask if I was still interested in making a personal as I had been approved for a loan in the amount of $7,500.00.  The representative was very professional and took time to go over the terms of the loan to include the interest rate, number of months financed, and monthly payment.  She then informed me that all i had to do was fax copies of my driver's license, utility bill and most recent pay stub.  She completed her pitch by informing me that I would be required to pay an insurance premium in the amount of $715.50 before the funds would be released to me in the event that I defaulted on the loan. I gave it some thought and decided to go ahead with it.  She faxed the loan agreement to me and I inspected it closely.  It all seemed legitimate and there was no fine print any where on the document so I signed the agreement and faxed it back to her.  She soon called me and confirmed receipt of the agreement and gave me instructions to wire the $715.50 to an individual in Detroit, Michigan.  I was very suspicious by this point but like an idiot, I sent the money.  She told me that I could expect my loan in 24-48 hours as I had requested direct deposit.  After five days and still no loan, I contacted her and inquired about the status of my loan.  SHE ANSWERED THE PHONE AND PRETENDED TO BE SOMEONE ELSE!!!!!  I am sure that it was her because she had a very distinctive voice and I had spoken with her many times by this point.  She took my contact information and told me that the representative that I had been dealing with would contact me later that afternoon as she was currently in a business meeting.  To my surprise, I did receive a phone call from her that afternoon (sounded just like the female who answered the phone that morning) and she told me that a subsequent credit check had been run and that I was found to be in a higher risk bracket and would have to wire more money before I would be granted the loan. I, of course, did not. Please, please, please do not send your money to these people or any other company promising you a personal loan if you agree to pay money up front.  Please help me in getting these and other similar scam artist out into the open and help prevent them from preying on innocent victims.  Thank you.
