This company was quick to come out for the estimate and gave a low ball price for moving a 4 bedroom home. Once we locked in the date, they showed up 4 hours late and were unable to complete the move in one day. Trucks were rentals  (their logos were not on them) and crew was not professional. First sign there was a big problem.  They left a Uhauls worth of stuff at my house as they said the trucks were full ( which they were not)  which I had to move myself the next day. Lots of scuffed floors, nicks and gashes on furniture especially my beloved piano!  The move took two days and was a nightmare for me and my kids. Yelp reviews had good things to say but don't use them as your only reference point ( which was my mistake). I had to argue over final pricing and paid too much for a slipshod and unprofessional move. Get insurance to cover your move so you can get damages paid for. In short this company provided horrible customer service and did a horrible job with the move. The drivers told me they did not have CDLs ( most reputable moving companies do) and were working long hours with bad pay. They were as unhappy as I was with this company.

 I stand by what was previously said and couldn't have been more unhappy with the lack of professionalism of this company. I continue to find dents, scratches and issues ( pull out couch was broken) from this move. Your team started 4 hours late on the day of the move since you didn't have enough drivers which threw everything off that day. I had no way of knowing the power was out and only discovered that when we arrived at dusk, already too late to get the move done in one day. I did pay for the work that was done. As I didn't want to penalize your crew. Your guys complained bitterly about their work conditions and the company to me. Better get your act together or you wont stay in business much longer.

Hello Cheryl,

 

Thank you for choosing Express Movers to complete your move on 5-26-2015, We are sorry that you went throght this, however i will have to correct you on a few things about your move because i was there.

 

There was a total of 3 trucks during yor move and all our fleet are 26 foot truck, we had 1 of our trucks and 2 uhaul's becasue we cant hold 3 of our trucks. Our trucks all of them don't require a CDL becasue the are under 26000 pounds, please understand the facts before you post a complain about our company on this site.

 

It took 2 days becasue you failed to tell us that you had a power outage in your new house (know Cheryl how can you not let us know that your new house had a power outage becasue of the storm that happend, it was dark by the time we started unloading and we cant take the risk to unload a whole house at 8pm with no electric Cheryl). So again you forgot to mention that to us.

 

I was on the estimate and the first thing when i walked in your house you had said the Piano was damaged from previous movers and you cared about it, So we broght a trailler just for piano, we had 4 guys on it and was wrapped, When it was unloaded we have the before and after picture with no scratch, so please again get your fact right.

 

When it came down to the bill you did not want to pay the bill witch that was unfair, all your stuff was wrapped and packed and protected with 4 movers, 3 trucks and a manager on dutie, your estimate was $1600 to $1800 the bill came to $1980.00 so that is not even 10% above, you only paid $1400.00 trying to blaim us for power outage that happend the day before and we were never told of it.

 

So cheryl When you go to rip off and make a claim like this, we habe been in buisenss for 8 years no customer ever accused us of this and you come along, and say stuff that is not true at all, i understand that customers are always right but in this case we tried our best, we gave you a discount where we should of charged you extra for overnight storage, and there was no damages becasue i have attached a claim report with contract and that was not filled and i have pix of all your belongings being delieverd.

At Express Movers we mae sure the customers are happy, we are a moving compay with great reputaion and we like to keep it that way, we do around 8 moves a day 360 days a year and the past 8 years we have only 4 complains and we understand that could happen and we took care of every single complain but when it comes to this im not even sure where we go from here, you were givin a discount and all your stuff was protected.
