From the initial unsolicited mailing which proposes to be a "Final Notice" to reinstate an expiring auto warranty coverage (FEAR) to the weary tactic of " I need to put you on hold to ask my supervisor to reopen your expired account" (ANTICIPATION) to the requirement that a decision with a credit card payment be made by the end of the phone call (URGENCY) - the whole experience left me feeling like I was mugged.

The only thing which saved me from being robbed was the unfolding of a sickening and predictable pattern that the phone conversation took. These guys are slick and could easily take advantage of the unwitting. In addition to being expensive, it makes me wonder how reliable Extended Warranty Corp coverage would be in the case of a claim. BEWARE.
