Exterior Master Renovations Plus Inc., Paul Stamey Nightmare Project from the start, end result more of a nightmare! Concord North Carolina

Last April, 14, 2014 we contacted Paul Stamey, owner of Exterior Master to help us build a deck. I simply wanted to update our 20 year old deck. Exterior Master (Paul Stamey) came and was very nice and claimed to be very knowledgeable about decks (and had the company name of Exterior Master so... I was trusting). Mr. Stamey even made suggestions of making an extention to our deck.

We ended up paying more than $16,000 for a "modern deck" with a horizonial railing system that is now sagging, wood that is splitting, and a whole corner of a deck that is unsafe to let my kids onto. The deck is falling apart in places. I contacted Paul Stamey (his Company is now changed to Renovations Plus Inc.) and explained that his 10 year Labor Warranty was already needing his attention as the deck was falling apart. I have left  messages; he even came out and said it was not a problem and he would fix the issues. It has been more than 2 weeks and I have not heard from him nor is he returning my calls. My husband and I feel that the construction process last year was horrendous with construction workers fighting and at every turn there seemed to always be an issue.

After spending more than $16,000 on a deck a year ago that is now  falling apart - I share my story to hopefully keep it from happening to anyone else.
