Ryan Seale owns Exterior Scapes of Texas, inc. At first he came off as a nice guy but once the deal was signed he became a CHANGE ORDER KING, every project turned into a game for him on how he could increase the project cost while refusing to complete it at the agreed cost. Not only did my landscape & irrigation double in cost but the work was done in a poor like manner with little concern for detail while using inferior materialS and products. example: when the plans called out for certain sized plants he would either buy immature, smaller plants that cost him less or even those that were near dead while always saying they are in SHOCK and will bloom soon, in some instances he would subsitute cheaper material for what was listed on the plane! Well they never did bloom and when called on to replace or revive per his contract he would use excuses or blame (your not watering enough, you have bad dirt) and not replace them. On many occasions he would demand payments prior to completion or milestones as listed in the contract while threatning to leave the project and placing a lien on the property. During my business exchange with exterior scapes of texas he went through a bitter seperation with a partner/employee who had a severe drinking problem, lost many employess (perhaps illegal employees) and never completed the projects in a satisfactory manner.

Allow me to shed some light on this complaint. First off, the anonomous person is Dan Vafa of DBC. Please look at his history on this site. My name is Ryan Seale, I have owned Exteriorscape of Texas Inc for 13 years. I have had 1 complaint filed and its from this guy as a retaliation for me filing one on him. I did several intallations for Dan at DBC for new construction hotels. I have the contact information for all the owners of the hotels that will back up my claims to follow.
First, all plants installed were exactly as I proposed and I have all invoices from my nursery to confirm. His claim that I used smaller plants is a flat our lie.
Second, all my employees are on payroll, legal, back ground checked and pay their taxes.
Third, the rest of this complaint is an attempt to tarnish my reputation.
Fourth, any change orders filed were preapproved by you and were due to changes made by you or your supers. Lets meet and lay it all out on a table and see whos wrong here.
Here are some fun facts. 2 of the 4 hotels that I installed for Dan I did not get paid on because he was fired by the owner. I had to go back to the owner directly to work out my final payments. 1 I nerver recieved my final payment because Dan had done such a horrible job on the entire project.
Anothe fun fact. I recieved a call from another landscape contracto in the Houston area asking questions about DBC. Apparently he is pulling the same scams now down there.
I pride myself in a completely legit, and transparent company. I can assure you my name and company will be around for years to come. Its only a matter of time before Dan and DBCs poor business dealings and lies catch up with them.
Hey Dan, if you would like to pay me what I am owed brother Its about time. If your customers have any complaints about my services I am and always have been willing to work with them. Lets meet together onsite with these owners face to face and see who is the cheat.
