Ez Car Rental, Fort Lauderdale, Fl Horrible customer service, broken down car, promises broken Ft. Lauderdale Florida

 My husband and I rented a car for 5 days. The gentleman talked us into and " upgrade" and we left with a Dodge Charger. My husband drove across Florida the next day and noticed a strange sound. When he began his return trip, something dropped and dragged ounderneath the car. He was afraid of a fire and immediately called the emergency number. First they told him 30 minutes, then 90 and after 2 1/2 hours, they told him another 90 minutes. He was on a dark, two lane highway so he climbed under the car and pushed up the metal plate whose bolts were missing. He stopped every 15-30 minutes to push it up again until he returned to Pompano Beach. The following day, after being put on hold 3 times, my hushed finally spoke with Neil- the manager of the FLL branch. He drove out another car and assured us that we would be refunded several days rental as well as the upgrade fee. We were charged the full amount. It is 2 weeks later and about 10 phone calls to Ez. The operator at main number said that Neil needed to issue the refund. I have called many times and Neil has not returned any calls. Out agreement number is FLLEZ-74857. My husband was literally shaking when he returned that night- he was stranded with a car that had obviously been in accidents. I cannot believe that I have not received a courtesy call. Never again.
