F6 Plumbing, LLC Charles Mike Chance ATTEMPTED $875 scam on American Home Shield service call Alvarado Texas

Listen to me closely. I am not "some disgruntled person” merely complaining about a job F6 Plumbing did and I was dissatisfied. That is not the case here. I had a simple drainpipe leak fix. Two-story house. Upstairs bathroom drainpipe had a leak that resulted in visible water damage at the baseboard in dining room below. F6 Plumbing sent out a kid, Chance, that seemed unsure about how to approach other than cut open the sheetrock from floor to ceiling, and then FaceTime with his supervisor, Charles, the "master plumber” who told him to go up and cut the sheetrock behind the bathtub faucet, in a bedroom closet, to see if it was wet. It was dry.

Long story short, they cut a couple of holes, one 9’ high, in my walls and then inaccurately diagnosed the problem. Charles and another guy, Mike, came out and they told me they would have to "come through the brick on the outside and American Home Shield won’t cover outside access.” They quoted us $875 to "fix it” through the brick. I got a different plumbing company, Mendoza Plumbing, and they came out and said that it wouldn’t be necessary to go through the outside. The owner/master plumber said going through the outside was ridiculous.

He and his two assistant plumbers had it fixed within 40 minutes, even after testing where F6 said the problem was [as they were wrong…not even CLOSE.] F6 never even actually found the leak!!!! BOTTOM LINE: F6 Plumbing LIED and tried to SCAM my wife and me for an $875 job that would have been COMPLETELY unnecessary and flat out WRONG. This company is either inept (they were going to disturb the cleanout from the outside) or they are simply dishonest, or both. I would say both.

I am still wrestling with American Home Shield to get a reimbursement for having to find a COMPETENT and HONEST plumbing company…who, btw, charged only $485 for their repair. Advice? STAY AWAY from F6 Plumbing (and American Home Shield, for that matter) and if you need honest, capable plumbing work, which happen to specialize in leaks, call Mendoza Plumbing 817-975-1184.
