Isn't it awesome how someone can come to your door with some sob story and you KNOW that it's probably a scam but you are willing to help out anyways? Yeah. That's me. So it's about 6:30 and some teenager comes to my door. He starts telling me this story about how he is from California and they're doing some contest or whatever and I listen. He wants to sell me some magazine subscriptions and I didn't actually say yes before he asks to come in and sign me up. I once again, did not say yes when he begins to sit at my table and asks for my information. The kid tries to sign me up for 50 issues of some vegetarian magazine. Uhm. NO. So anyways. I start to feel bad, whatever, CHARITY. You know because there are some good people left out there. Though I would rather donate my time than money, I figured I'd help out. I don't know what came over me. I just don't say no well, I guess. So I get him to sign me up for like 30 issues of some magazine I don't want. Okay. I give him the money and he leaves. And I'm thinking to myself, wow, you're such a push over. But, It happens. Anyways, it's a scam. I know it's a scam. And I figured I'd warn you before he's at your door with some sob story about how he can't pay for college. That hits a lot of people hard, so they're willing to allow this ridiculous thing to go on. I just finished filling out my cancellation. It's not the money I'm worried about, it's the fact that people are big enough jerks to go door to door to do this.
