Fairbank Capitol Corp deceptive ripoff company Phoenix Arizona

Fairbank Capitol Corp. purchased our mortage from Countrywide on 11-01-02. Countrywide send us a Goodby Letter. Our November payment was made to Countrywide so we waited for imformation from Fairbank Capitol. None came. Next payment was due on 12-10-02. On 12-01-02, we were contacted for collection by someone from Fairbank's. When I told him that we had not received a bill from them. He told me to wait. He gave me an 800 number in case we did not get a bill. Well guess what, no bill. On the 9th. we telephoned the 800 number and was given our loan number since we did not even know what it was. We asked about what the principal was so that we could check the balance.

Well he did not know that but we could call customer service the next day. So that I was not late, I paid on the phone. As he was hanging up, he told me that I would be charged a service fee of $15.00 and he hung up. On the 10th. I called customer service. Forget the SERVICE as they are not there to help. I was told that collections had explained everything to me and that the $15.00 was how they made their money. I told them that my contact did not have the service fee in it and that I wanted it removed.

He told me that I had a 60 days new customer period where they would not charge a late fee. How was I to know as I had not received their policy in the mail. He told me that collection would have told me. I told NO they didn't. Well he thought that it was my fault and would not help me. I called back and talked to a female who me to "kiss my rear" and hung up on me. How can a company get away with pratices like this. All I was doing was trying to make a payment on time and they want to make more money when we make it easy for them. Do not use this company. Again - Do Not Use This Company!!!!!!!!!
