Fairbanks Capital Cashed a $900 check & then debted my account for the same amount x's 2 & would not return either payment Cused me over $600 in bank fees! Rip-off Salt Lake City Utah

In August of 2002 I had sent my previous mortgage company a $900.00 check. Due to the fact they had been bought out by Fairbanks they could not accept the check so I let them debt my account (so as not to get in arrears). My former mortgage company promised to send back the check but it was accidently forwarded to Fairbanks with my paperwork.

About a week later I looked at my account and I was $1200. in the hole. I figured out what happened and immediatly called Fairbanks who told me it was really to-bad, but there was nothing they could do until.....I mailed them a copy of the cancelled check. It took three weeks for my bank to get the check and I was out my money. As an added kick in the teeth and wallet I now owed over $600 in overdraft fees. The only right Fairbanks made wrong was they credited my apyment for the next month one-half paid.

Plus, they wrote me a letter stating I need more insurance on my house, which already has $50,000 over the value. They are at best a company with no integrity and I hope they are litigated to the maximum. It is to late for me to recoup my losses, but please if someone even mentions the name Fairbanks Capital-run while you still can..
