Faircall - international Satellite Communications International calls from Holiday Inn Montego Bay Jamaica

I was on vacation in Montego Bay, Jamaica. I stayed at the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort (decent hotel, but made for kids/families). After arriving at the hotel, I wanted to call the US to let my family know we made it safely. The hotel said we had to use the phone to make international calls, and it would require us to input our credit card number and we would be billed directly from this other company. The phone call was supposed to be $3 a minute.

When I returned to the States, I checked my credit card statement, and noted a charge for $42. The charge said Call from Jamaica. When I called my credit card company, I was told to call this company directly. They required that I give them my credit card number for them to look up the call. Unfortunately, I refused to give my card number as I never heard of this company. I went to google the company and the phone number and all I found was rip off reports.

I wanted to share with anyone else. The company doesn't give refunds, and they do not charge what the hotel says they charge. My credit card company is doing a formal dispute, and I will continue to stay on top of it. In the meantime, I wanted to warn others as well.
