I cosigned a car loan for my ex in 2000, and he defaulted on the loan. I could no longer afford to pay two car payments and I asked Fairlane to pick up the car they refused, and charged it off at 15,000. My ex and I both other over 20,000 with the interest, and I asked that the car be picked up. I do not think this is fair, and they have sold the account to at least two different companies who are harassing me to this date. Please help or write me and tell me who can.

You signed a contract. If they choose not to recover the vehicle from you you still owe every penny from the contract. what is not fair? What makes you think that if you coose to sign a contractor it's not fair for them to expect you to pay if. You owe the money legally and morally.
