I was contacted by Melissa Adamas of Fairview Financial Servies stating that I had been approved for a 5,000 loan. This came at a wonderful stressful time. I was behind on everything and about to be sued. Melissa took all of my banking information and stated that if I sent 800.00 to purchase the insurance on the loan my money would be in the bank at 12:00 midnight. I explained that I did not have 800.00 dollars to send her, that was why I was applying for the loan. She said that she could accept 400.00 and I could just send in the other half when I got the loan. I thought this is so wonderful.
I called Melissa on 07/13/2006 to let her know I would have the 400.00 dollars on 07/14/2006, she informed me that it was 500.00 that the insurance company would except. I thought cool 500.00 for 5,000 is still ok with me. Well I got all the information from her to send the Western Union. I was told to send it to a Michael James, a Brinks agent, I was also told to waive the ID, because sometimes the Brinks agent gets held up and another agent may have to pick up the money. I know all this is dumb, but when you are broke. It sounds good as gold, fools golds. I asked Melissa was this a scam, she state "oh no, you can look us up on the badbussiness.com site and see that we are not a rip off". I send the money. Money was picked up, no money was deposited in my account all weekend. I am frantic my Saturday 07/16/2006 morning. I have given these crooks my money. I have no food for my kids, I am behind on my house note. I am really bugging out about 8:15pm 07/15/2006.
I wait all the way to Monday, because I couldn't get anyone to answer the phone over the weekend. When I finally do get someone on the phone. Tina Marshall was her name, she tells me that I have to send in 300.00 more dollars to get the 5,000 dollars. I am crushed by now. I am telling her I have nothing to please send me my money back, but she says it will take 1 to 2 weeks for her to send me my money back, and I have to put it in writing why I want my money back. I keep trying to call thise people, but now they are not returning my phone calls, or answering my e-mails. I don't know if putting this on here will help me, but I hope it will help others.
