Spoke with a Chuck, quoted me a rate, looked like a great deal. I proceed to apply with him, he told me that he would lock my rate in. That is when the contact stopped. He told me he tryed calling. THAN WHY DIDN't HE LEAVE A MESSAGE
After numerous attempts and 4 days later I finally received a call from him.
He told me that the rate was no longer valid and that it would cost me a full 1/2% higher in rate. When I asked him why, he said that he tried to lock the rate but he couldn't. When I asked why, he couldn't answer me.
I went with -----------, a REAL mortgage company!
Nothing changed with me in four days!!
Bad business practices. BUYER BEWARE!!

I'm the owner of Dallas Lending which is a division of Fairway Independent Mortgage. Until today, I'd never heard of rip-offreport.com or your specific situation. I'm sorry if you were quoted a rate that wasn't locked. This is not a common practice for us. I wish I had heard about this at the time it happened.
