i recieved a letter from falcon financial inc. that i'm the winner of 2007 australian sweepstakes lottery held on december 31 2007 in the second category
letter was acompanied with check of $4950 in my name with explanation that i should not use this check before contacting the claim agent mr. george smith it also said that the check is deducted from my winning amount of $550000 for purpose of paying applicable taxes
when i called george smith he said that i should deposit that check to my checking acount and when the check is cleared that i should withdraw $3950 and send by moneygram to a person named elizabeth and he gave me other information about transfering he also asked me to call him back with reference number from the transaction and when he confirms that the money is recieved that he is going to fed-ex my check when i did what he asked he changed the story telling me that he can't send me check before i forward him additional $750 to his name for insurance at that time i became suspicious about it being a scam
