During the month of April the Falcon Glen complex gave "$200 dollar off rent" gift certificates to all residents. The gift certificates have no stipulations, no requirements and clearly state: "This certificate entitles to $200 off your rent." At the bottom of the gift certificate, in small writing, it states: "There is nothing like having someone from our community, refer a friend, family member, or co-worker to come live her at Falcon Glen!!! And to thank you for the ultimate compliment..."

Although the gift certificate implies that the company would like you to refer a friend, it does not state that this is a requirement for the redemption of the certificate. On the front, once again, it says: "This certificate entitles to $200 off your rent." Couldn't get any clearer than that.

The company refuses to honor the gift certificates, and as far as I can estimate, are cheating the residents out of $40,000 in promised savings.

Okay, maybe it's just me...

but did you think for a minute that the coupon was meant so that you would get $200 off your rent for a referral? It wouldn't make sense for them to just "give away" $40,000? They are a business, not a charity.
