Family Voice Magazine Aka Connie Fielding ripoff non-payment of services performed Cedar Hills Utah

I had worked hard for almost 3 years creating a beautiful family magazine for Utah families. I had created some special relationships with our state PTA, our First Lady, and other non-profits in my attempts to offer them free promotion/editorial. My intent to help inform parents so they could take preventive measures with their children.

I struggled all this time to make it profitable and finally had some new, good annual contracts that were covering the cost of printing, design, etc. I had struggled with designers that had charged way too much in the beginning and did not deliver. Then I was given Tasmin's name. She is a graphic designer, and young, and represented she had the experience and talent by sharing some of her work. I was desperate for a new designer and needed to pull of our September/October issue. Her mother had years of design experience and said that she would oversee Tasmin's work and help her. So we moved ahead.

To say the least, this issue was the very worst. I have saved a copy of it. The design was terrible. Her cover photo selected had a black background and was so bad. There are many mistakes throughout the magazine and I had large clients that were paying for full page ads. She was late on our deadline, which meant it got to the printers late, which meant the printers pushed me back to 30 days, which meant that the magazine was delivered 30 days late. Clients were not happy and did not like this issue.

Basically, my business was over. I lost more than 3/4ths of my clients over night, and I refused to pay the printer who was 30 days late. Because of Tasmin, all of my hard work was destroyed. She represented that she had the talent and experience and her mother said she would step in and help, but it didn't happen that way. Her mother actually did nothing to help her.

How was I to pay her when there were no clients afterwards? I was in a position where I could have sued her for lack of performance and fraud regarding her representation of her experience and talent, but I chose not to. I just left it alone. Now when anyone does a search in my name, this report appears. She should be grateful that I did not pursue legal action and left it alone.

So not only did she destroy my business, destroy my efforts to feed my children, but now she finds it necessary to continue to destroy my good name and a beautiful magazine that was created with the intent and desire to help families, to help parents.

Tasmin, you need to remove this lie from public record. And if you choose not to, I may have to consider legal action. I have been a pro se litigant before, so I can pursue legal action that will not cost me an attorney, only court fees. I will also be forced to file a Ripoff Report in your name for your future clients to read before they consider hiring you.
