This is a warning to any one that has been getting email from fanbox. I ignored the emails and did not use the so-called services of fanbox but they charge my PayPal account $94.14 for IPL fees, what ever that is.  I do not know how they got the info for the account or how they were able to just charge me.  They showed over $1100 in earnings but when I tried to collect them it came up as not available. I filed a complaint with paypal and deleted my fanbox account and have been calling fanbos for several days and all I get is a recording to leave my email address and phone number and they will get back to me.  I do not think that will happen.

un-authorized Paypal charges

AUTHOR: doug9694 - ()

POSTED: Saturday, September 14, 2013

Back in Jan/2013 I bid on a couple items. I did not win the bids and they took the bid amounts out of my Paypal. I later checked their TOS and they stated there that under no circumstances will any monies be taken  from your payment sources unless you have won the bids. When I complained they had one of their reps, named  Poet, send me nasty messages claiming I was trying to dedraud fanbox. I spent the money on other fasnbox activities and when I further complained they said sence I already spent the money they would not refund any. I believe that since yhey defruded my that they should have made it right by refunded me and deducted that out of money I had pending at fanbox.

Then in March they took money from my credit card to pay IPL fees that I wasn't going to pay. They got my credit card info when I made a purchase from their site. I did not give them permission to take money any time they choosed.

In my oppinion I was defrauded twice by them.

FanBox

FanBox has a “no questions asked” refund policy and we can certainly refund your money back to your PayPal account. To request a refund, please email Billing@corp.fanbox.com and  your request will be responded to within 48 hours.

If you received a charge, your account was utilizing IPL funds to generate earnings and your IPL processing fee was due.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and please let me know if you need any further clarification about why you were charged.
