faredepot Booked a ticket, received a confirmation, a few days later they reject my confirmation and demand an additional $200.00 on the same ticket. Washington District of Columbia

I made a reservation through faredepot website, I am a returning member of an airline club and they were able to beat out my airline's rate. Upon receiving my confirmation and seeing the amount pending on my card, I continued on my business trip, days later I received an e-mail stating that my bank never confirmed the amount (untrue) and that the ticket had not been released for someone else to purchase, but rather was on hold for me, for an additional $200.00

So to summarize: 

• This website will sell you a ticket at a discounted rate.
• This website will follow up your confirmation with a demand for additional money on the booked and confirmed value. 
• But this website does not release the ticket back into the market for other buyers, rather holding it hostage until you pay. 

They're running an SEO scam to have you book tickets through their website at rates available online, and once you purchase them demand you pay their ransom, or pay the increased market rate. 

I called them multiple times requesting to speak to a manager, they told me she was on lunch and would call me back, upon further calls they now screen my telephone, as I called from another line and they picked up. This company is the definition of a ripoff!!!
