Farouk Systems Inc. Pink Chi Flat Iron Wont replace product Houston Texas

Called 800# to get assistance with replacement information on a Chi Straightening Iron which appears to have broken due to poor design and or manufacturing and or it heats up and weakens plastic frame making it suseptible to drop or impact incidents. First "customer service" agent Rosa recited something about $35 fee plus shipping and then hung up on me. It seems because I said I would be willing to list my complaint and information on RIPOFF REPORT and or BBB.

I Called back, they sent me to legal. Legal says the unit I have is an imitation, which she said is common and they would not provide me with a solution.

I looked on their web site and could not find one that matched the one my wife bought for my 14 year old daughter so maybe the one we bought is a knockoff or imitation, however they treated me very poorly and I thought everyone should know this prior to dealing with them. I wish they would at least get information about where it was purchased to prevent this kind of problem in the future. I think I'll call one of these places to see if they have a flat iron that will last and that doesn't have imitations floating around that they wont cover.
