I answered to buy a pup through oodle.com from a Sharon G Messier in IL.  After a sob story about her daughter dying in a car accident and she had severe injuries I was told she moved to WA to help with the sale of her daughters pups that were actually there.  I took the chance of purchasing the pup and having it shipped to me.  I was given info to send money to a Edwin Fombason from a company called Fast Air Pet Express via Money Gram.  I looked up and saw their website & decided to give it a go.  When the supposed pup was at a layover in VA I was contacted by Edwin and told the airlines were demanding the pup be put in a $2,200 crate.  Stupidly I sent a bit more money.  It was insisted that I pay the balance and was given a name, and banking information to transfer my money from my bank to theirs to a Jerate Mungu.  That is when I did more searching and called 2 major airlines and then the airport that this stall was at.  Surprise, no pup there and I was told by security that it was a scam.

Hard working middle class people don't stand a chance.  There has to be some way to be protected from these predators.  I'm ashamed I was caught up in wanting a companion for my precious pup I have now, and guess I will have to chalk it up to a hard lesson learned.

wish I had known

I had never sent cash in any form for anything. I guess my desire for another pup as a companion for the one we have made my common sense go away, I filed this report in the hopes that someone will see it and learn from it and not make the same mistake I did.

Regardless of what you're buying, moneygram/bank transfer + stranger = scam.
