This company is a complete fraud. I opened my FCNB/Spiegal account back in 1998 and was never late. FCNB had granted me a significantly high credit limit on this card. Come to find out fcnb went bankrupt. They never notified me of this.
Card processing center now services my account and I believe that they are practicing illegal credit card practices. They have raised my interest rate to 28% and have charged multiple 35 dollar late fees to my account. These fees have been applied to my account without any justified reasoning. This company continues to change there 1-866 toll free numbers as well as my payment due date.
I have notified this company multiple times via mail and have had no answer to my problems. Every time I have contacted this company it seems to be that there are no supervisors or managers available to talk to.
I believe that it is time for us as consumers to stand up for our rights and that we must unite and contact the Better Business Bureau, The Federal Trade Comission, along with any other federal or state agencies that regulate business. I also believe that we must contact an attorney with balls in order to file a class action lawsuit against this company regarding it's deceptive credit card practices.

Like many former FCNB customers, I was taken by surprise when it was transferred to 'Card Processing Center.' Thankfully, I haven't been through the nightmare many of you have who have been charged late fees without good reason and have had APR's raised. My remained the same.
When the transition first took place however, I did not receive a statement until I wrote and demanded one. And I spoke with someone and did have them remove an unjustified late fee.
I was beyond irritate though that the 516-576-8706 number (besides not having a toll-free number) did not yield a human, but rather an unhelpful automated system. But thanks to this post, I used the -8785 number and immediately was connected to a live person (Portia Harding).
Word of advice: Transfer your balance, if possible, to a card with a lower APR (like Capital One). I did so, and now expect Card Processing Center to send back my credit balance. I'll let you know if it doesn't come.

I agree with the other two comments. We have called and were told a payoff amount, paid it in full, and magically a charge of $110.00 appears the next month. When we call, they say they can't reverse the charge, no managers on duty, write a letter, "we can't help it if you were told the wrong amount".....we have written several letter and no response!!!
How do we resolve this???

ERICA THANK YOU SOOO MUCH FOR YOUR COMPLAINT REGARDING FCNB & SPIEGAL,I'AM HAVING THE SAME EXACT ISSUE WITH CARD PROCESSING CENTER IN OLDBETHPAGE, NY. I'AM INFURIATED! I WON'T BE IN A POSITION TO PAY THEM OFF FOR A FEW MONTHS, BUT I'AM AFRAID IF I CONTINUE TO SEND IN THE REGULAR PAYMENT UNTIL THEN THAT MY BALANCE WILL BE EVEN MORE OUT OF CONTROL BECAUSE OF THE LATE AND OVER LIMIT FEES THEY CONTINUALLY CHARGE, EVEN WHEN YOU DO SEND YOUR PAYMENT IN ON TIME, IT TAKES THEM AN ADDITIONAL 8-10 DAYS TO DEPOSIT YOUR CHECK,SO YOUR LATE NO MATTER WHAT AND THEY COLLECT ANOTHER $35.00. SOMETHING ABOUT THAT SEEMS SUSPECT.
I'AM ALL FOR THE CLASS ACTION SUIT!!!!!
