Febrez AC Rip Off Alert will not follow warrentee work Jacksonville Florida

On the 19^th of July we had a Febrez representative came out to service our air conditioner. The condenser fan was not working. After the tech spent time troubleshooting the problem they determined the condenser fan motor was bad. The service tech did not replace the capacitor.  All the while suggesting to upgrade my system.

After spending $1070.00 to replace the fan the system was working correctly.

July 24^th we noticed the ac not working correctly and checked the outside unit.  The condenser fan was not working.

Called back to Febrez and set up another tech to come out. The tech (Mox) reported that the condenser, capacitor and fan motor would have to be replaced.

Seemed suspicions that they could tell this without the use of a volt meter. Or open up the system.

The suggestion were to replace the unit (outdoor unit only) $2980 with the $1070.00 included. Total of $4050.00

Repair the unit (new condenser, cap, and fan for $900.00

I called another company for a second opinion. They came out and said the system was not properly repaired in the first place.

When you replace the condenser fan you must install a separate capacitor for the fan motor. By not doing this you risk burning out the condenser fan motor.

Once this was installed and the condenser fan motor replaced system came up as expected.

THERE WAS NO PROBLEM WITH THE CONDENSER.

I feel that you do not have adequately trained service techs and that I am owed at the very least reimbursement of the service call to repair the unit. $350.00 for new condenser fan motor, service call and capacitor.
