All of these sites lead to the same source. I am a wary consumer but I was in a hurry and not paying attention and got snared. They model the site to look like a government site and splash IRS all over it in bold print among the fine print in the disclaimers to make it look official. only go the official IRS site! $150.00 for something that is free. And despite what these sites claim about it taking hour(s) on the IRS site it does not. It takes about 15 minutes total on the IRS site to file for your own EIN. Don't get fooled by the other services offered either for LLC filings etc. They charge triple for something you can do yourself for under $100.00. They know they are ripping you off that is why all contact info leads to a third party. go here: https://sa1.www4.irs.gov/modiein/individual/legal-structure.jsp

Not in the fine print
AUTHOR: coast - (USA)

The paragraph at the top of the web page that you provided states, "We are not affiliated with any government agency..."
That same paragraph states that you can file for free with the federal government and they provide a link to the official IRS web site.
Being in a hurry is a good excuse for not reading the introductory paragraph but it is not a valid excuse for claiming you were ripped off. Not in the fine print and not a rip-off.
