This company misleads you into thinking they are the official SAM site by using very subtle tactics. While they do state that they are a private company it is only in the fine print in an email. The email address, website, and even phone answering service is all created to mimic an official federal website and service. The email contains fear based language that makes you believe your company will lose its SAM registration and contracts unless you renew within 24 hours. This is all before the fine print. This causes panic and makes the consumer hastily call the company to try and fix the renewal issue. This type of vague misleading language is mixed with fear to create anxiety. A human's natural response is to then quail the anxiety as quickly as possible. They then call the phone number provided. The consumer is then told that they can fix the issue for six hundred dollars. Your company relies on these contracts for money and the email was sent out only a few hours before the office closes. So, in a panic you agree. Now you have six hundred less dollars and a third party company has your money. Remember, an honest company is upfront about their product. If a company tries to trick you then they are not legitimate and do not have your best interest in mind. This is the same as receiving a call or email from a “security expert” that makes you believe your computer is infected with a virus. Their language makes you believe they are with Microsoft. You get scared and pay them to fix your computer. Now they have your money for doing nothing and have only sold you a false peace of mind. That is all this company is doing. They are selling you a false peace of mind.

The Rebuttal from the Federal Transaction Services is a lie

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Friday, January 20, 2017

Firstly, lets not ignore the many typos and grammatical errors in their rebuttal. This certainly does not lend credibility to a company. Secondly, just about everything they stated above is deceiving. Let me share with you the actual email I received from this company. The title was "Your SAM Registration is about to Expire". The sender was from the "SAM Help Desk". Anyone who has done government contracting work knows that the common wording for the customer service center is the "Help Desk". So, getting an email titled this way from the SAM Help Desk certainly makes it seem official.

The body of the email starts out like this "Your SAM registration for Insert company name, title, DUNS number, and address will soon expire on 2017-04-01 17:30:34.0. For more information on your SAM profile regarding your expiration date and compliance, please call and have your Registration Information Accessible:". I redacted my companies name but in the actual email all of that personal information was filled in. This was also sent out on the date that they claimed the registration expired and only a few hours before closing. So, lets recap; official sounding email sender, fear based title, personal information included to give more appearance of being official, wording used to make you believe your code will soon expire, and a rushed time clock to create impulsivity. All of this is the exact same language that I referenced in my rebuttal. The top wording is also a larger and bolder font. This makes the consumer immediately draw their attention to that wording. It is not until you get to the bottom of the email that you have the last paragraph with the disclaimer they mentioned and even then it does not start until nearly four lines down. Let’s review how this start out "Remember, without an active SAM.gov registration, your company may not be eligible for contract reconciliations or more government funding. Please call if you would like more information and for us to review your profile and compliance status, along with other important details. We can ensure that your company maximizes its exposure to the Federal purchasing agencies and ensure that your company does not violate any FAR regulations." These lines of dialogue are again used to inspire fear based impulsive decisions. "Your company may not be eligible for government funding and ensure that your company does not violate any FAR regulations." There is a Psychological phenomenon where a company use fear and anxiety in marketing to cloud an individual's brain to make them have irrational and impulsive decision making processes. This is the same tactic that this company is using in their deceptive marketing to convince you to give them your money. I am sure this company spends a ton of money on marketing and has business Psychologists helping them to find ways to maximize profits by using these deceptive marketing tactics. This is again why you should never trust a company that tries to scare you into using their product. I suppose it just takes someone who gets paid to help companies maximize profits and knows the research behind proper marketing versus deceptive marketing to spot out these dirty tactics. I will offer this to you Federal Transaction Services, if you want someone to help your company create a legitimate marketing campaign that will create customers based on loyalty and not fear then send me a message. I get these same types of emails from similar companies daily and not one is handled appropriately.

AUTHOR: SHD - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, January 19, 2017

Federal Transaction Services is and always has been 100% transparent with Everything Including our Emails that are sent out.  Every Email states that We are a Private compan and if they are Interested in our Services to call for more info. It also states that Federal Transaction Services is NOT SAM.GOV, FEDERAL SERVICES DESK, or A GOVERNMENT AGENCY. It Also stateS that we charge a Fee for our Service. It also states that we Offer FREE Services for non-profit companie.  It also states that ANYONE can do it on their own for Free and how do do it. We NEVER stated at any point in time anything about needing to do anything withim a 24 Hr time period. NOTHING is ever at Anytime in Fine print. I attached below the body of the Email this customer and ever costumer gets... confirming everything I stated.  The only panic that takes place in from the costumer  themselves do to the lack of them reading the email and assuming and do their own asumptions, this creates there fears and panic, that leads to costumers being upset to NO FAULT of the company and as a Result the customer files Faults complaints. In fact Federal Transaction Services is the only one in their industry that is 100% transparent in everything Including All their marketing.
