Federal Warranty Service Corporation Assurant Service Corporation Failed to honor warranty after 4 months of being given the run-around Atlanta Georgia

After more than four months and dozens of cancelled appointments by Federal Warranty/Assurant's local repair contractor--A&E in Monroe, Louisiana--my parents, who are in their 80s, still don't have a working refrigerator. More than two dozen appointments have been scheduled since October when my parents' KichenAid refrigerator, which is under Federal Warranty Service Corp./Assurant's extended warranty, first stopped working. In late December, I personally spent upwards of 6 hours on the phone with various Federal Warranty/Assurant reps, customer service and resolution department supervisors and was told that a new repair company had been authorized and was going to repair the refrigerator within a few days. Again, the new repair ciompany did not repair the refrigerator. After months of excuses, repeatedly being misled and outright lies by Federal Warranty and their local contractor, they are now telling my parents that they are unable to repair the refrigerator and that the matter is now with the resolution department. At this point, the only acceptable resolution is for Federal Warranty Service Corp/Assurant to replace the refrigerator with a comparable model, which is quite expensive. This is the worst warranty company I've ever dealt with. They have tried to scam my elderly parents, who have been far too patient. If this matter isn't resolved in a satisfactory manner very soon, we will be forced to take legal action. And from the complaints I've seen online, I suspect that my parents experience is not unique. Beware of this company.
