SUSPENSION OF FELIX RIPPY FROM TEXAS BAR:
"On July 23, Felix O’Neill Rippy TX State Bar#16937400, age 50, of Round Rock, received a one-year, fully probated suspension effective July 23 from the 227th District Court of Williamson County"
Rippy violated Rules 1.09 and 8.04(a)(1). He was ordered to pay $22,166.64 in attorney’s fees and costs.

Rule 1.09 Conflict of Interest: Former Client
(a) Without prior consent, a lawyer who personally has formerly represented a client in a matter shall not thereafter represent another person in a matter adverse to the former client:
MAINTAINING THE INTEGRITY OF THE PROFESSION
Rule 8.04 Misconduct
(a) A lawyer shall not:
(1) violate these rules, knowingly assist or induce another to do so, or do so through the acts of another, whether or not such violation occurred in the course of a client-lawyer relationship;
(2) commit a serious crime , or commit any other criminal act that reflects adversely on the lawyers honesty, trustworthiness or fitness as a lawyer in other respects;
(3) engage in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud , deceit or misrepresentation;
(4) engage in conduct constituting obstruction of justice;
(5) state or imply an ability to influence improperly a government agency or official;
(6) knowingly assist a judge or judicial officer in conduct that is a violation of applicable rules of judicial conduct or other law;
(7) violate any disciplinary or disability order or judgment;
(8) engage in conduct that constitutes barratry as defined by the law of this state;
(9) fail to comply with Article X, section 32 of the State Bar Rules;
Rippy will work for the other party. He admits not looking out for 'your' best interest, he claims to be all about 'justice' and the 'interest of the children'. Results in a one sided defense. He will pre-judge you. He cannot be trusted with confidential information. He forwards general correspondence e-mail to the 'Independent party'.
He also has bad reviews removed. All of his golfing buddies post good reviews for him.
What should have been a clear cut case filled with spouse, abuse was turned into a win for the apposing litigating party. It is my opinion that this 'lawyer' is corrupt, and goes against fundamentals set by the bar. Some of his tactics have been explained to me as a way to draw out a case to keep feeding the money machine. I believe that he clearly lacks any hint of ethics. I don't know what childhood drama has morbidly skewed his judgment. He talks about ethics but doesn't really seem to grasp the meaning. The Google search engine has been overwhelmed with adds to drown out any real information Mr. Henderson and his firm. Be warned!

It was terrible experience with very rude, unprofessional and irresponsible lawyer. He never answers phone, messages or emails. He doesn't know how to work family law cases, but he knows how to get money from you! He made a lot, a lot mistakes in my case, as a result I have a lot of problems, and he will treat you like a peice of trash. All what he thinks about his money. Dont trust him! Be very careful, please!
He told me it was my fault entirely for the bad family situation, without taking the time to get to know me. I proceeded to hire him anyway. When the opposing lawyer got tough, Felix became passive, and recommended I comply with the opposing party. He needs to become more aggressive as a lawyer, with more fight, in my experience.
I hired a female attorney downtown, who was not afraid to go 'toe-to-toe' with opposing attorneys. She carefully researched a difficult and unusual situation for me, while showing me empathy and concern. With her help, I won the case, and was awarded my legal fees. If I had stayed with Felix, I would be still be paying for something the law does not provide. My advice: check around first!
